The Founder
William C. Stuart founded Costantini in 2002 after beginning his career as a sculptor. That foundation continues to shape the studio today, where the objects of everyday life are approached as sculpture—created with the conviction that thoughtful design should endure, both physically and aesthetically.
Today, Costantini operates as a gallery, workshop, and design house. Alongside Stuart's own collections, it represents a select group of contemporary artists and designers, producing made-to-order furniture, unique works, limited editions, and bespoke commissions for collectors, designers, and architects worldwide.
The Atelier
Unlike most design galleries, Costantini produces much of what it exhibits. It connects designers and engineers with master artisans throughout the making process, allowing each work to evolve from concept to completion.
The workshop's artisans work fluently across a wide range of materials—including cast bronze, solid wood, fiberglass, steel, plaster, parchment, leather, rush, iron, marble, and sheepskin—each finished to the highest standard while preserving the character of the material. The result is work defined by restraint, longevity, and subtle variation rather than perfect uniformity.
The Work
Costantini creates made-to-order furniture, bespoke commissions, limited editions, and unique works by contemporary artists. Clients may choose from an extensive material library—including Argentine Rosewood, Macassar Ebony, full-grain leathers, natural stone, cast bronze, and parchment—or supply their own materials for a truly bespoke commission.
Whether selecting from an existing collection or developing something entirely new, each piece is crafted individually. Dimensions, finishes, and materials can be tailored to suit a private residence, hospitality project, or commercial interior.
