A Seven-Story Installation · New York
Townhouse
Costantini presents Townhouse, a seven-story residential installation in collaboration with The Thurber Team at SERHANT.
Set within a historic Upper East Side residence, the project brought together more than two decades of Costantini furniture and objects alongside contemporary art, lighting, textiles, and works by artists from the studio’s extended network.
Rather than treating the townhouse as a conventional exhibition space, Costantini approached each floor as a distinct interior. Furniture, art and objects were placed in dialogue with the architecture, creating rooms intended to feel collected and lived in rather than staged as a gallery.
Curated by Costantini founder William C. Stuart, the installation included some of the studio’s earliest designs alongside newly developed works, tracing the evolution of Costantini through materials including bronze, parchment, steel, wood and stone.
Originally unveiled during NYCxDesign 2026, TOWNHOUSE evolved into a months-long collaboration and a setting for private gatherings, conversations and presentations—exploring the space between collectible design, interior design and residential life.
