Claremont Club & Spa, A Fairmont Hotel

Costantini collaborated with Kirk Nix Associates to develop statement pieces in the lobby and public spaces for the renovation of the historic Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, California.  Materials included are wood, bronze, and parchment.

The Work

This table features a solid wood frame with a meticulous finish. The circular tabletop is composed of hand-stained parchment panels, protected by an exclusive high-gloss lacquer. The design is completed with a solid bronze detail at the base, creating a refined metallic contrast with the wooden silhouette.

The solid wood structures of these pieces are completely covered by hand with panels of parchment stained in a deep black tone. These surfaces undergo a high-gloss, hand-polished lacquer process, which creates a flawless mirror effect while protecting the delicacy of the leathers.

Architectural details in solid bronze are present on the perimeter frames and legs.
