The Cherchio Table doubles as a functioning backgammon board, crafted from ebonized Argentine Rosewood with inlays of genuine Ebony and Birdseye Maple. It features a removable tray for cocktails during gameplay, as well as a drawer for dice, chips, or additional serving space. The base draws inspiration from ancient Mesopotamian headrests, referencing the birthplace of backgammon. Originally designed by Costantini founder William C. Stuart for Goodman’s Bar at Bergdorf Goodman’s men’s lounge in Manhattan.
