The Benone Wood Pedestal Table features a pair of cast bronze bases that are only partially polished to reveal the natural imperfections left by the burnt earth that once surrounded it during the casting process. In contrast, the top is finished smooth and is shown here in an oval shape with a knife-edge profile. This piece was featured in the Presidential Suite of the Hotel Bel-Air.
