The Aphrodite Lamp takes inspiration from the goddess Venus, born of sea spray and depicted by the revered painter Sandro Botticelli. The lampshade is crafted from banaca fabric, while the base is made of a composite material combining cement and banaca fibers.

About Mirei Monticelli:

Mirei is a Milan-based multidisciplinary designer who began her career in her birthplace, the Philippines. Working from her roots exposed her to traditional furniture manufacturing and production, where everything is made by hand. This experience immersed her in the world of artisan crafts, while also sparking a desire to explore state-of-the-art techniques from the Western world. She graduated from Politecnico di Milano in 2017 with a degree in Design and Engineering, gaining valuable technical expertise. Her work spans product design, interior design, creative consultancy, and art direction.
